The Story Behind the Name: Doodle Zoo

When starting my business, I knew I wanted a name that represented everything I loved—dogs, creativity, and my passion for animals. After a lot of brainstorming, “Doodle Zoo” was born, and it’s a name that holds a lot of meaning for me.

The “Doodle” in Doodle Zoo has a few inspirations. My dog Dotty, who’s not a doodle herself, inspired the “Do” in the name, while “odle” was a playful nod to breeds like poodles and doodles. But “Doodle” also reflects my creativity, as I spent hours sketching ideas for the designs that now make up my collection of dog accessories. Each product is like a little doodle brought to life.

The “Zoo” part of the name represents my lifelong love for all animals. Growing up, I was the kid who adored every creature, big or small, and dreamed of being surrounded by them. While I only have Dotty right now, the name Doodle Zoo reminds me of the joy animals bring and the idea of expanding my brand to include products for all kinds of pets in the future.
